Mid Clouds

Altocumulus

Altocumulus clouds are white or grey and appear to be shaped like laminae or rolls. This is the most common of the mid clouds.  This cloud often appers along side the other mid clouds.

Nimbostratus

Nimbotratus clouds are very large clouds, sometimes extending into low clouds. These clouds are very thick. Some low clouds at its base merge into its base.

Altostratus

Altostratus clouds have a blue or grey appearance. These clouds are very spread out, covering most or all of the sky. They are usually thin enough to see the sun through them.
